How was your Father's Day weekend?
Mine turned out pretty good in the end. Saturday was spent back at my old school playing fields, where I saw some former teachers and coaches. They were all like father figures to me back in the day!
Sunday I was with my Dad, up at Lord's Cricket Ground (the home of cricket), for the World Twenty20 Cup Final. (Add me on facebook here, to see some crazy pictures and videos of fans celebrating in the streets afterwards!)
It's always fun to see what people remember about you. It gives me a sense of what kind of an impression I made on them and how I can improve myself in the future.
Talking to one of my former Phys.Ed teachers on Saturday, when he comes out with "The thing that sticks in my memory about you, Asad, is that you weren't afraid to get up and show people how things were done in P.E."

I had a think through my memory bank to realise he was correct! I was always the first to give new exercises a go, and once I felt I had got them figured, I'd demonstrate them to the rest of the class. I guess some things are meant to be!
That conversation inspired me to this newsletter issue. One of my strengths, even back then in high school, was with free weights. I used to hate the machines, and each week would bug my teacher to get started with dumbbells.

Well, a lot of time has passed since then, and I've learnt a ton more about dumbbell exercises. I'm not one of those fitness guys who thinks he knows it all, oh no, those lads really get on my nerves!
