Supta Virasana

Supta Virasana

Reclining hero pose (Supta Virasana) is fairly advanced, but with practice and patience you can achieve it too. Once you can get into the correct position, hold for 30 seconds and build up to several minutes.

Supta Virasana is very relaxing, as you can tell by my photo =) It also helps with digestion and eases stomach cramps.

Alignment
by: Alignment

It looks like the front of your knees are lifting off the ground, your knees are spread apart, and your lower back is arching a lot. You should consider using a bolster to demonstrate this pose correctly.

Peaceful
by: Asad

Is this pose as peaceful as it looks? I'm not sure if my knees can handle it!
